Clinton Community College Official Dog Helps Elmore SPCA
Enzo, Clinton Community College's Official Dog, has found a doggone good way to help his friends.
Stickers featuring Enzo are now available at the college and many outlets across the area for $5 each. All proceeds will be given to Elmore SPCA to support their operations and needs. The organization provides comfort and shelter to animals who are waiting for their second chance homes.
"Everyone at Elmore SPCA would like to thank Clinton Community College and Enzo for helping to provide for our shelter animals," said Laurie Parsons, board president of Elmore SPCA. "There are significant hurdles ahead facing New York state animal shelters, but we know that we will be successful in meeting these challenges with the generous support of our community."
Enzo, a seven-year-old English Creme Golden Retriever, was named the college's Official Dog in December. The designation recognizes the significant benefits emotional support dogs provide, including reducing stress and anxiety, enhancing social engagement, and improving overall mental well-being.
On campus, Enzo hosts office hours to meet and greet students, faculty and staff. The stickers are his latest way to help others.
"We are proud of Enzo, who is a special part of our campus," said Ken Knelly, Clinton's administrator in charge. "We value our part in this community, too, so connecting Enzo with his friends at the Elmore SPCA was pawfect opportunity."
Stickers are available in the Office of the President at Clinton Community College and outlets around Plattsburgh, including:
