The CCC Foundation Receives $50,000 Grant from Stewart’s Shops and the Dake Family Fund of The Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region
The Clinton Community College Foundation is proud to announce it has received a generous grant in the amount of $50,000 from Stewart’s Shops and the Dake Family Fund of The Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region. This funding will directly support the College Advancement Program (CAP) Scholarship for high school students across Clinton County.
The CAP Scholarship helps local high school students enroll in college-level coursework while still in high school, providing them with an affordable and accessible head start on their college education. This initiative not only reduces future college costs for families but also equips students with the skills and confidence to succeed in higher education.
This is not the first time Stewart’s Shops and the Dake Family Fund of The Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region have supported this program. Their previous $50,000 gift directly benefited 200 lower-income high school students in Clinton County by covering tuition for CAP courses. As a result of this support, 92% of CAP participants continued their education after high school, many enrolling in SUNY institutions and other respected colleges across the country.
“We are incredibly grateful to Stewart’s Shops and the Dake Family Fund of The Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region for this investment in the future of Clinton County students,” said Steven Frederick, Vice President for Advancement & Executive Director of the Clinton Community College Foundation. “This grant ensures more high school students have access to early college opportunities that can shape their academic and career paths.”
The Clinton Community College Foundation continues to build strong partnerships with community organizations to promote educational access and student success in the North Country.
