Clinton Community College Celebrates Class of 2024 at Commencement Ceremony

Clinton Community College held its 2024 Commencement Ceremony on Friday, May 17th, at 6:00 p.m., celebrating the achievements of over 100 graduates from a variety of programs. The event was a momentous occasion for students, faculty, families, and friends.

The evening began with a rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner, performed by LeAnn Yelton, with some members of Joanna Jackson's American Sign Language (ASL) class providing an ASL interpretation. This performance set the tone for the inspiring ceremony that followed.

Valedictorian Amelia Chaffin and Salutatorian Dillon Wood delivered moving speeches that resonated deeply with their fellow graduates. Chaffin and Wood reflected on their journeys, the challenges they overcame, and the bright futures that lie ahead. Their words of wisdom and encouragement were met with enthusiastic applause from the audience.

"This ceremony was not just a celebration of academic achievements but also a testament to the hard work, dedication, and resilience of our students," said Dr. John Kowal, President of Clinton Community College. "We are incredibly proud of each graduate and excited to see the positive impact they will make in their communities and beyond."

Following the formal ceremony, the graduates were met with hugs and congratulations from their families and friends, marking the joyous culmination of their academic pursuits at Clinton Community College.
