CCC Hosts a Presentation on the Underground Railroad

Clinton Community College is excited to welcome Jackie Madison, President of the North Star Underground Railroad Museum, for a special Black History Month event! Join us Tuesday, February 25, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM in the Moore Atrium to learn about the Underground Railroad’s impact on the North Country.

Madison will explore the history of the Underground Railroad in the North Country, highlighting its critical role in the fight for freedom. This engaging presentation will provide valuable insights into the region's historical significance and the courageous individuals who sought and supported freedom seekers.

“We’re excited to have Jackie back on campus for this important discussion,” said Neil Epstein, CCC’s Director of Campus Life. “It’s a great opportunity for everyone to learn more about the North Country’s connection to this piece of history.”

This event is free and open to students, faculty, and community members. Attendees will have the chance to learn, ask questions, and reflect on this important chapter of history.
