Financial Aid Verification

If your FAFSA application is selected for Verification, make sure you understand what documents and whose information you need to submit. Not all applicants will be asked to submit the same documents. Always check your CCC student portal

Verification is the process used to confirm the data you provided on the FAFSA. It is to your benefit to submit everything promptly. If there are any differences found between information reported on the FAFSA and the actual figures provided in the verification documents, CCC will submit the corrections on your behalf.  Financial aid awards will be based on the corrected information.

Your FAFSA may have been selected for verification randomly by the federal processor, or because it may appear to have errors or conflicting information.

What documents do I need to submit?

If selected for Verification, CCC will send a request for documentation by mail. In addition, your CCC student portal will list any required documents. Click "My Financial Aid".

If you need copies of any forms previously mailed to you, go here:  Financial Aid Forms

Not all applicants will be asked to submit the same documents. You may be asked to provide different documents than you have submitted in previous years.

How do I submit the requested documents?

Some forms require a WET signature.  Please submit all documents with Student Name written clearly at the top of each page. You may hand carry, mail, fax, or email  forms.  See each form for instructions.
