CAP Pathways Scholarship
Clinton Community College is excited to announce that it will offer its innovative College Advancement Program (CAP) Pathways Scholarship for the third year. Its aim is to help local students earn an associate degree from Clinton at a significantly reduced cost so that they transfer to a bachelor program or enter the workforce with minimal, if any, student debt.
The CAP Pathways Scholarship will be offered to high school graduates who have taken CAP courses through Clinton Community College and wish to continue their education by matriculating into a CCC credit-bearing degree or certificate program in Fall 2025.
The scholarship, to be applied toward tuition and fees, with a maximum award of $2,000 per semester/full-time student (enrolled in 12 or more credits) or $1,000 per semester/part-time student (enrolled in 6 - 11 credits), subject to availability, will allow Clinton students to graduate with minimal financial investment.
Further, CAP Pathways students will have a seamless enrollment process that has zero application costs. CAP Pathway funding will be granted after all free forms of financial aid are applied, including but not limited to Pell grant, NYS TAP grant, scholarships, etc. Students who are granted the CAP Pathways Scholarship may receive scholarship funding for up to four consecutive semesters if they meet the minimum credit and GPA criteria.
Qualifications needed to receive the CAP Pathway Scholarship include:
- Students must have completed three (3) or more CAP credits with a minimum grade of C in each CAP course.
- Students must be within one (1) year from their high school graduation date and working towards their first degree.
- Students must have a current FAFSA and NYS TAP application on file with the Financial Aid Office.
- Students must be enrolled at CCC for a minimum of 6 credits per semester.
- Students must earn a minimum semester GPA of 2.0 while enrolled at CCC to maintain scholarship funding for the subsequent semester.
