Nursing Applicants Who Lack Math and Science Requirements
Nursing candidates exhibit varying educational and experiential backgrounds. Here are guidelines to assist you in meeting the program's math and science requirements. All math and science pre-requisites must be completed with a C/2.0 or numerical grade equivalent or higher:
- Applicants must have a college biology course. Our equivalent is BIO 101.
- Applicants lacking high school chemistry must have a college chemistry course. Our equivalent is CHE 101.
- Individuals possessing a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or TASC recipients are eligible if they successfully complete college level equivalent courses including BIO 101 and CHE 101.
- Applicants must place into a college math course, MAT101 or higher. Our equivalent is MAT103/104/105 or higher.
Nursing applications are available and must be submitted by June 30th each year for the class beginning the following fall term.
