Transfer Credit from Military Training/Service
If an applicant previously attended other colleges or was a member of any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces, the official academic transcripts or official military transcripts must be sent from those institutions. Failure to provide these transcripts could mean a delay in finalizing admission to Clinton and/or a delay in the release of financial aid.
Degree/certificate candidates at CCC may receive credit for similar courses completed at other accredited colleges and universities or for military training that would translate into similar coursework according the ACE (American Council on Education) standards for transferring military training and experience into college credit.
Veterans with more than one year of active duty in the armed service can receive two credit hours of Health/Physical Education (HPE) credit. This credit may be awarded on the basis of verified participation in a concentrated period of physical education activities (basic training) while on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces. The Registrar's Office will need a copy of the Veteran's DD 214 form, Joint Services Transcript (JST) transcript, or Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) transcript in order to award transfer credit for military experience.
JST Transcripts
If the student is or was a member of any branch of the U.S. military excluding the U.S. Air Force, then he or she would request a JST transcript be sent electronically to Clinton Community College's Admissions Office.
JST transcripts include the ACE credit recommendations for your:
