Most internships or cooperative education programs begin the interview process first quarter January - March so you should start looking in the fall of your school year. Every major company has internships and most will be open to the potential for applied learning experiences. Companies use internships/applied learning as a way to find new talented individuals like you as well as compliment the services they offer. Also, it helps companies with their diversity goals. Diversity is key to company success. They need individuals from all backgrounds so they can best serve their customers or create the best products.
