Eligibility
Am I Eligible to join the ASAP Program?
New, transfer, returning, and continuing students meeting the criteria below are eligible to apply for the Clinton Community College ASAP Program:
- Accepted as a Clinton Community College student (please refer to our Admissions page for application details)
- New York State residency or qualification for in-state tuition
- Application for both federal (FAFSA) and state (TAP) financial aid

Students who do not receive at least $1 of Pell aid, but who still wish to enroll in ASAP may do so if they (1) complete both the FAFSA and TAP application, and if applicable, the Excelsior application for first-time students, and (2) are found to be eligible for either NYS TAP or the Excelsior Scholarship Program. Students who do not receive Pell, but who are eligible to receive either TAP or Excelsior would be eligible for all ASAP or ACE benefits except the cost of attendance award.

- Full-time enrollment (12 or more credit hours) each semester
- Students must have no more than 21 college credits applicable towards their proposed program of study and that excludes any credits earned while in high school.
* The only degree program that is not eligible for the ASAP program is the Nursing A.A.S.
