Mission Statement

The English Department provides students with instruction in literacy skills-specifically, the ability to read, write, and think critically-to positively impact their academic, transfer, and career success.

The department also strives to broaden students' perspective, enrich their lives, and enhance their personal understanding through a variety of literary and writing experiences.
